I've been following the case of Triston Ray Algiene and one part that really stands out to me is the note found with Erick Zelaya's head. The chilling message "La Raza Se Respeta y Faltan 4" is so disturbing, and it makes me wonder about the fear and tension these criminals must have caused within their community. It seems like it was meant to send a message, but who were they targeting next? My heart truly goes out to Triston's family and friends, having to process the horror of his loss compounded by the terrifying actions of these individuals. It's unsettling to think about how people capable of such extreme violence live among us and the residual fear their actions instigate. Public safety in these areas must be so compromised. I hope the trial's conclusion gives some comfort to the victims' loved ones and that the community can start to heal.
