I’ve been following Victor Duarte’s tragic case since it happened, and something that's been on my mind is the impact of his loss on his classmates from Central High. Imagine graduating with him, sharing all those moments and dreams of the future, only to have it shattered in such a senseless way. It's not just his family coping with this; it's an entire community of young people who lost a friend with so much potential. I hope schools can focus more on educating students about the risks of reckless behavior, especially when it comes to guns. No one should have to lose their friend like Victor’s classmates did. Would love to hear thoughts on how communities can better support young adults in navigating these issues.
