I was reading about William Lawrence Duncan's tragic case, and something that's really bothering me is the way bystanders reacted, or perhaps, didn't react. I know it's always easy to say what could have been done in hindsight, but it's really concerning how things escalated from the convenience store to that parking lot, leading to such a devastating outcome. I genuinely feel for Mr. Duncan's family, having to live with the pain of losing a loved one in such a violent manner. It's just so sad that no one could have stepped in again or called for help sooner. I wonder if there's more we can do as a society to foster environments where people feel empowered to intervene safely when they witness such altercations. Maybe more community engagement or training programs could help prevent future tragedies? My heart goes out to his friends and family as they seek answers and justice. If anyone has thoughts or information, it could make a difference.
