I can’t stop thinking about how senseless the violence in St. Louis has become. The tragic shooting of Ronisha Jackson and Kiera Tanter still haunts the community. These two young women had their whole lives ahead of them, and now their families are left with nothing but memories and unanswered questions. What concerns me is the environment in Gravois Park. It should be a place of gathering and joy, but it seems like people are afraid to even spend time there now, given what happened. I hope that those in the area are able to speak up and help detectives piece together what happened. It’s crucial for neighborhoods to feel safe again. My thoughts are with Ronisha and Kiera’s families—no one should go through such pain.
