Has anyone looked into any reported sightings or evidence of Nestor being in the surrounding areas beyond Santa Ana? I’ve been following this case and was curious if there were thorough searches conducted not only around major cities but also in more rural areas where someone might try to stay off the grid. Sometimes it seems like there could be informal networks helping people in tough situations, but I wonder if the media or family has heard whispers of anything like that. It feels like cases like Nestor's sometimes get lost in the shuffle, especially when details are scarce. Any Texas locals here who might have more insight into that area during that time frame?
Has anyone else noticed the lack of media attention around Nestor Josue Janez Lazo's disappearance? It’s weird because cases like his should receive way more coverage, especially given the circumstances involving Border Patrol. I mean, he vanished right after crossing the Rio Grande, and there’s been basically zero updates since 2013! It makes me wonder if there’s a reason for the silence. I know his family is still actively searching for him, but without more public awareness, I'm worried his case isn’t getting the attention it needs. Has anyone else thought about the challenges of searching in that particular area near Santa Ana? The terrain is rough, and with the intense heat in July, I can’t imagine how difficult it would have been for Nestor to keep moving without getting dehydrated or lost. If Nestor did manage to get away from Border Patrol, where was he headed? It's not easy to think about what kind of conditions he faced out there. This case makes me wonder if he might have tried to find shelter or head towards a main road, but there's just so much open and hostile land out there. Hopefully, someone who was in that area back in 2013 might remember something. Keep the search alive, folks.
