It's really peculiar that Kay McCoy was last seen in May 2012, yet her family didn't report her missing until much later. I find the timeline quite odd, especially with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services getting involved because they hadn't heard from Kay in over a year. This agency's concern suggests that something was amiss long before the case officially started rolling. Now, what really has me thinking is that none of Kay's vehicles were missing. For someone described as a survivalist and doomsday prepper, wouldn’t you expect her to plan an escape route or have some kind of contingency plan that involved her vehicles? Someone with those interests usually values preparation, and a missing vehicle could've supported the theory that she left on her own accord. Also, considering her Social Security benefits weren't accessed at all, and yet her daughter Kristina and son-in-law Robert were charged with financial fraud years later raises questions about motivations and what really happened. Why take the risks with fraud if there weren’t more significant secrets or issues? Still, since Kay remains missing, the actual answer or truth seems elusive. Hopefully, more information or new leads will surface! What do you all think holds the key to solving this mystery?

Hey everyone, I’ve been following Kay McCoy's case for a while, and something keeps nagging at me. If Kay was such a seasoned survivalist and doomsday prepper, wouldn't she have had some kind of elaborate plan if she wanted to go off the grid? I mean, surely she had cash or resources stashed somewhere that doesn't involve her bank account. It strikes me as odd that there was no activity whatsoever. Maybe she intentionally left everything behind as a ruse? Or could it be that someone else knew about her plans and took advantage of the situation? Would love to hear your thoughts on this angle or if anyone else who's familiar with the survivalist lifestyle might have some insights!
