Kay McCoy, 57 years old, was last seen around May 2012 in Jasper, Texas, where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law. Her family did not report her missing until months later, with concerns raised by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in October 2013. The agency contacted the authorities because Kay's mentally disabled daughter, who lived in a care facility, had not heard from her mother. Additionally, Kay's bank had reported no activity on her account for over a year.
