I can't shake the feeling of how senseless Arthur Cantu Jr.'s death was. What strikes me is the complete disregard for life during this altercation. From what I've read, it seems like George Almanza had been making death threats prior to the incident, which makes me wonder if more could have been done to prevent this tragedy. Given that these threats were reportedly made in the days leading up to the shooting, I'm curious if law enforcement was aware and if any protective measures for Arthur were considered. I can't imagine what his loved ones are going through, knowing that the threats were made and yet this horrific outcome still happened. It also puzzles me that the weapon hasn't been recovered yet despite a search warrant being issued for Almanza's vehicle. It leaves so many questions unanswered about the events on that night. My thoughts go out to Arthur's family and friends as they navigate this painful chapter, seeking justice and peace for him.
