I’ve been following the investigation into Johnny Ray Demease’s tragic death, and I wanted to bring up a point about the location of the incident. The parking garage where Johnny was shot, at 2950 Old Spanish Trail, seems to be an area with ongoing issues. I've read local reports indicating that it's somewhat of a hotspot for crime—something I find concerning, especially being so close to the Texas Medical Center.
I’m curious if anyone familiar with that part of Houston can share more about its reputation or any precautions the apartment complex might be taking since the incident. From what I've gathered, it sounds like the suspects weren’t residents there, which might suggest some level of vulnerability or lack of security. It’s unsettling to think that a young life was lost in what should be a relatively safe space.
Sending my deepest sympathies to Johnny's family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time. I hope the community and law enforcement can come together to provide answers and prevent future tragedies like this one.
Hey everyone, I wanted to talk about how important it is for eyewitnesses or anyone with info on Johnny Ray Demease's case to come forward. It's been over five years since that tragic night in August 2018, and while it’s understandably difficult to revisit painful memories, sharing even the smallest detail could make a huge difference. The fact that the suspects haven't been caught yet must be incredibly hard for Johnny's family and for Eric Burton, who survived but will certainly be affected by this for the rest of his life. If you're reading this and you've been hesitant, please consider reaching out to the authorities. Staying silent only helps the perpetrators get away with this terrible crime, and every tip counts. Let’s try and get some justice for Johnny and some closure for everyone who cared about him.
