I recently came across Edna Anne Kaminski's case from 1944, and something that's been circling in my mind is the involvement of the Michigan State Police. I’m curious about why they got involved in a New York disappearance case. Does anyone know if there were connections Edna or her family might have had to Michigan, or is there any speculation suggesting she might have ended up there? I can't find anything in the old reports that suggests a reason for MSP’s involvement. Could they have had suspicions about travel or maybe an unidentified person found in Michigan around that time that potentially matched Edna’s description? It seems like a big jump for an investigation that had no other leads, and I’m wondering if anyone has come across some overlooked or forgotten angle related to that detail. Any insights or theories would be awesome to hear!
