Has anyone else been following the legal proceedings of Lagarius Rainey? I recently read that his defense is claiming self-defense, but I can't wrap my head around that given the circumstances. Delashon Jefferson's family apparently had gone over to try and stop the argument, and I find it hard to believe their presence was enough to justify such a violent reaction. I feel so deeply for her family, especially her mother, Sharon, who has stepped up in these unbelievably tragic circumstances to raise Delashon's children. Her strength must be immense. I just hope that justice is served for Delashon and her family, and that they can find some sense of peace in all of this. Domestic violence is truly a plague on society, and cases like this highlight the urgent need for better support systems for those at risk. What are your thoughts on how the trial might unfold?
