Does anyone know if there were any reported sightings of Tiffany Felky Doyle around the time she went missing? I came across an old newspaper clipping that mentioned a woman matching her description seen near Highway 1 a few days after November 8, 1974. It didn't identify her by name, but the description was eerily similar—same brown jacket and stocking cap. However, there doesn't seem to be any follow-up in later reports. Given the amount of time that has passed, any confirmation or denial of this sighting seems crucial. It's frustrating how little was documented back then, but maybe someone has stumbled upon other bits of information from that time. Thoughts?
Did anyone else come across the recent update about Tiffany Felky Doyle? I read that there's been very little information released, but what caught my eye was the mention of her carrying a green day pack. It's such a distinct item, you'd think someone might remember seeing her—or the pack—at some point.
I can't help but wonder if there was anything unique about it, like patches or pins, that could have made it more recognizable. Considering how little has surfaced about her personal items or any sightings of them, maybe this could be a small but crucial detail that’s gone overlooked. Does anyone have thoughts on whether items like that might have shown up somewhere else—maybe in second-hand stores or classified ads around the time of her disappearance?
Did anyone else notice the strange coincidence regarding the timing of Tiffany's disappearance and other missing person cases in Santa Cruz around the same period? I recently came across an old article from the 70s that mentioned a surge in hitchhiking incidents turning sinister. Could Tiffany’s case be connected to a larger pattern that got overlooked back then? I wonder if police ever explored this angle in detail—especially since her case file was lost for so long. It's troubling to think there might be more to this story that never got investigated due to limited resources at the time. Would love to hear if anyone has dug into this period for similar occurrences. Maybe someone out there remembers something relevant?
