I can't stop thinking about Lively Park and how it used to be such a comforting place for so many of us. I grew up nearby, and we'd often go there for picnics or just to hang out with friends. The fact that Felipe's life was cut short there is incredibly unsettling. How does a place that's supposed to bring joy and peace become a site of such tragedy? It just reminds me of how important it is for parents and community leaders to work together to address these issues of violence and to support our youth. I hope the community can come together to prevent something like this from happening again. My heart goes out to Felipe's family and friends—they've lost someone so young to senseless violence.
