Reading about Guillermo Reyes Jr.'s tragic death brings such a heavy weight to the heart. I can't help but think about how ordinary that day must have seemed before everything changed. The fact that it happened in broad daylight outside a busy H-E-B store truly shakes me. It’s alarming to know that a robbery attempt could escalate so quickly and end a young life in such a senseless way. I saw that the suspects were teens themselves. It's so difficult to process how young people become involved in such violent crimes. What drives them to that point? It's really sad for all families involved – Guillermo’s especially, as they’re dealing with this unimaginable loss. But even the suspects' families must be going through a lot, grappling with the actions of their children. I hope that as the investigation continues, it brings some clarity and eventually some peace to Guillermo’s loved ones. It’s crucial that the community stands together to support them and that anyone with information comes forward. A collective effort might help bring justice and possibly prevent such tragedies from occurring again.
