I've been thinking a lot about the families and the ripple effects tragedies like these have on them. It's unimaginable what Fernando Garza Jr.'s family, especially his mother, Blanca Herrera, must be going through. The courage it must take for her to face each day knowing what happened to her son is something I can't begin to fathom. Reading about the details and how he was missing for days must have been pure agony. I hope the plea deals and sentences bring some measure of closure, but I'm sure nothing can truly mend the loss. I keep wondering: what leads people like De Leon, Rivera, and Huerta down such a dark path? Were there warning signs, missed opportunities for intervention? It's so important for communities to come together, not just to support the victims' families but to prevent these terrible events from happening in the first place. Sending all my thoughts to Fernando’s loved ones. They deserve peace.

Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the impact this terrible crime has had on Fernando's family, especially his mother, Blanca. Losing a child is every parent's worst nightmare, and I can't imagine the pain she's going through right now. It’s so crucial that the community rallies around her and offers support however we can. One thing that's been on my mind is whether there are any support groups or resources available for families who experience such unimaginable loss. It could be really helpful for Blanca, not only to share her grief with others who understand but also to find some sense of peace and healing through community support. Does anyone here know of any local groups or online forums like Survivors of Homicide Victims that might be able to help her and Fernando's loved ones? Please share if you have any information—every bit of support could really make a difference. Thanks, and let's all keep Blanca and the rest of Fernando's family in our thoughts.
