Has anyone else thought about the possibility that Andrew Maloney might have encountered someone he knew in the area before he vanished? I was reviewing some old newspaper articles and forums about his case, and I can't help but wonder about the timing of everything. His car was found relatively soon after he was reported missing, which makes me think he didn't plan to disappear. Given that the police records were lost in that fire, a lot of those initial interviews and leads would have been difficult to follow up on. It's like the perfect storm for a case to go cold. In small communities like Ketchum, it's not uncommon for people to run into familiar faces unexpectedly. Could it have been a chance meeting gone wrong? Anyone have thoughts or info on the locals who were known to be around Corral Creek at that time?
