I can't stop thinking about the basketball court where Jason was playing that night. It was just supposed to be a regular evening, hanging out with a friend, doing something so innocent and pure. I can’t imagine the terror and confusion he and his friend must have felt when those individuals approached them. It's heartbreaking how a place that should be filled with laughter and camaraderie became a scene of such unimaginable violence. My heart truly goes out to his family, who not only lost a loved one but had to discover him in such a tragic way. I hope they find strength in the community's support and in the determination of the investigators working on the case. For anyone who lives nearby or might have been around that night, please think back if you saw anything that could help. Even the smallest detail might lead to a development in Jason’s case. Gun violence is a terrifying reality, and it’s crucial we come together to find those responsible and prevent further senseless loss.
