Hey everyone, I'm really curious about Stephan's route near McCarthy and how it might have impacted his disappearance. Did he have any local guides or contacts in the area? I'm wondering if he mentioned his plans to anyone familiar with Alaska's backcountry. From what I understand, the areas around the Kennecott Glacier can be tricky to navigate, especially for someone not from the region. While his personal items found near the river suggest he might have been in that area, do we know if there were any adverse weather conditions around the time he went missing? Alaska's weather can change so fast, and I'm just thinking about how that might play into what happened to him.
