I’ve been following the tragic case of Johntavius Dantarveus Jenkins and can’t help but think about the emotional toll this must be taking on his family and friends. I read that after graduating from Longview High School, Johntavius was just beginning to step into adulthood. It’s devastating to think that someone full of potential was taken so suddenly. The fact that no suspect has been identified or arrested yet is incredibly frustrating. It must be so difficult for his loved ones to not have answers. I think it’s important for us as a community to keep supporting them and to keep Johntavius’s story alive so that we might bring the person responsible to justice. I really hope anyone with information comes forward so that there can be some closure and justice for Johntavius and his family. How else can we support the investigation or his family right now?
