Hi everyone, I’ve been following the case of Augustin Martinez and something's been on my mind. I can't stop thinking about the photo Martinez managed to take of his attacker just before he was shot. It's truly courageous that he had the presence of mind to capture such crucial evidence in such a terrifying moment. This single action has been pivotal in identifying Idelfonso Gamez Torres as the suspect. It's heartening to see that Martinez's quick thinking could potentially lead to justice. I also wanted to say my thoughts are with his family, especially his daughter who has been incredibly strong and vocal. It must be so difficult for her and for everyone who loved him. The community’s support, from the vigil to the tow truck procession, shows how deeply Martinez was respected and admired. It’s frustrating to know that Torres is still at large, possibly in Mexico.
