I’ve been thinking about Samantha Dragoo’s tragic case, and I can’t stop wondering about the support systems—or lack thereof—available to her. How many times do we hear about disputes escalating to such irreversible ends? It’s terrifying to think that despite having a community college nearby and being surrounded by people, Samantha might have been fighting her battles alone. Did she have access to any support or counseling services before things took such a dark turn? It's so crucial that institutions not only offer these resources but also actively encourage students to use them. No one should ever feel alone when they're struggling. My heart goes out to her family and her little boy, who must grow up without his mom. Let’s hope this case brings more awareness to the importance of mental health and support systems in educational settings.
