Hey everyone, I was diving into the older case files and came across the disappearance of Frank Johnston from Homer, AK. Something that really puzzles me is the whole hitchhiking aspect of it. Back in 1980, hitchhiking was more common, but I'm curious if anyone local to the area in the early '80s could shed light on how safe or risky it was to hitchhike along Sterling Highway around that time? Considering the remote nature of Alaska, the risk factors must have been different compared to other places, right? Did anyone else disappear or have incidents while hitchhiking in that area back then? Anything similar around those years might help piece more of the puzzle together.
