Does anyone else find it odd that there hasn't been more media coverage about Cathy Ann Smith's case over the years? I mean, I get that it's been decades, but it's like she just vanished without a trace, and the lack of information from law enforcement is baffling. From what I've gathered, Cathy was pretty much set on moving back to Georgia. Has anyone looked into whether she might've reached out to anyone there or if any moving plans were confirmed before she disappeared? It seems like a critical angle that might provide more insight into her sudden vanishing.
I was recently reading up on Cathy Ann Smith's case and something struck me about the timing of her disappearance. She vanished just as she was preparing to move back to Georgia. It's got me wondering if her intention to relocate had anything to do with why she went missing. Was there someone in Kansas City who didn't want her to leave, or did she stumble upon something at her job with the railroad that made her a target? The fact that she was set to move adds a layer of complexity and makes you question her last interactions in both places. I haven't come across any info on whether she was in touch with anyone in Georgia before she disappeared. If anyone's dug up more about her contacts in either state, I'd love to hear about it.
Does anyone else find it odd that Cathy Smith's case hasn't seen much movement, especially considering her work with the Frisco Railroad? I can't help but wonder if any of her coworkers noticed something unusual before she vanished. It's a pretty transient job with people moving around all the time, so maybe someone she worked with saw or heard something? Plus, the merger with Burlington Railroad was a big shift that might have created distractions. I just feel like there could be more leads here if someone dug into her life at work. Thoughts?
