I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of mental health in the tragic event at the Staybridge Suites. It's absolutely devastating to think about what might have led to that day. From what I understand, no one saw this coming, and it really makes me wonder how we can better identify and support individuals who might be struggling but aren't reaching out for help. The ripple effects of this tragedy are far-reaching, and the community's response has been truly touching. Park Hill Junior High has taken incredible steps to support their students, which is so important. Our kids need to feel safe and secure, especially after something so awful. It's just so deeply sad to think about the lives lost—particularly young Charlie and Noah. I hope that sharing stories and keeping the dialogue open helps us find ways to prevent something like this in the future. My thoughts are with their loved ones and the entire community during this incredibly difficult time.
