I’ve been following Iliana Estrada’s case, and lately, I can’t stop thinking about the gravity of the situation regarding domestic violence and protective orders. It’s chilling to think how Iliana’s request for an emergency protective order wasn’t enough to keep her safe. It raises questions about the efficacy of these legal measures. Are there ways we can improve our system to ensure protection for those who are vulnerable? I really hope her story drives change and awareness about domestic abuse. My heart goes out to Iliana's family and especially her young child, who now has to grow up without both parents. It's truly devastating.
