I've been thinking a lot about the location where Trey was found, and it just brings up so many questions in my mind. Why an apartment complex, and why inside the fence at the James Zay Roberts Apartments, of all places? Was this a random location that Trey just happened to be in, or was it somehow significant to those involved? My heart goes out to Trey's family; it must be so difficult not knowing the full story behind these details. The uncertainty of it all has to add to their pain. I hope more people in the community step up and provide whatever information they might have. It could genuinely make a difference.
Has anyone else been reflecting on how this tragedy unfolded in broad daylight, right in the middle of a community? It's deeply unsettling to think about how such an act came to happen in a seemingly ordinary place like an apartment complex. It's almost as if nowhere feels entirely safe anymore. My heart goes out to Trey's family and friends for having to endure this immense loss.
And then there's the community coming together with a GoFundMe, which is both touching and a harsh reminder of the financial burdens families face in such situations. It feels so inadequate to have to rely on community donations to cover something as fundamental as burial costs. The way people have supported his family shows the strength and empathy of the community, even amid horrible circumstances. I hope the Orange Police Department keeps getting leads and finds justice for Trey. If anyone knows anything, please do the right thing and come forward.
