I came across an article today that really touched me about Klayton Wade Manning and his cousin. It's so hard to believe that someone so young and full of life could be taken away so suddenly. I didn’t know Klayton personally, but I've been following this case closely since it happened. Seeing how the folks in Luling have rallied together in the aftermath speaks volumes about the kind of person Klayton was. The memorial escort by his fellow volunteer firefighters was especially moving. It's a stark reminder of how he lived to serve others and why his loss is felt by so many. I hope the support from the community continues to give his family some measure of comfort as they navigate through this unimaginable time. My heart truly goes out to them.
