Does anyone else feel like there needs to be more emphasis on educating young people about the signs of abusive relationships? Sakyra Young's story is so gut-wrenching and it really drives home the point that we need to do better as a society. She had so much going for her, such a bright future, but was trapped in this horrible situation with someone who controlled and isolated her. Her friends and family tried to help, but it's clear that more awareness and resources are crucial. It's terrifying to think about how many others might be in similar situations right now and feel like they have no way out. I think schools should include more on this topic in their curriculums so young people can recognize signs early and know there are avenues for help. What do you guys think? Would love to hear your thoughts on how we can prevent similar tragedies in the future.
