I’ve been following the Rhonda Williams case and can’t stop thinking about the warning signs that might have been overlooked. Ralph Cooper had two prior assault convictions before marrying Rhonda, yet he was still able to continue his cycle of violence. It makes me wonder how many more people out there haven’t been held accountable for similar behaviors. How do we better protect those who find themselves in these dangerous situations? My heart goes out to Rhonda's family, especially her son. Let’s hope her story encourages us all to be more vigilant and supportive of those in domestic violence situations.
