Has anyone else been thinking about how Asia Jynaé Foster's case was reported on Transgender Day of Remembrance? It's chilling and so symbolic of the ongoing violence faced by the trans community. I can't help but feel for her family and friends, who had to mourn her loss on a day meant to honor and remember those who suffered similar fates. While the arrest of Jermal Tyrelle Richards offers some hope for justice, it doesn't change the fact that Asia’s vibrant life was cut short. It’s so important for us to keep discussing and pushing these conversations forward. We need to hold institutions accountable and make sure they're doing all they can to protect our transgender and LGBTQ family. What can we do to support the community in preventing these tragedies in the future?
