Just been thinking a lot about the role technology played in the tragic case of Brandon Power. It’s mind-blowing to consider how Brandon's Apple Watch detected the fall and sent out an emergency alert. It makes you wonder how things could have been different without that alert. At least his family was notified quickly, even though the outcome was devastating. I really feel for his loved ones having to find out in such a way. This situation has me reflecting on how tech impacts our lives in unexpected ways. Complex emotions tied to something as simple as a notification. While it couldn't save Brandon, it did ensure his family was alerted without delay, and maybe there’s some small comfort in them knowing he wasn’t alone for long. My heart goes out to Dailey and the rest of Brandon's family and friends. Such a random twist of fate with that bullet—it’s just incredibly unfair. Here's hoping for some measure of justice and peace for them all.
