I came across the case of Mirian Elizabeth Mancia while digging through old missing persons reports, and something that really stands out to me is the use of an alias. Mirian apparently sometimes went by Mirian Elizabeth Barahona. I wonder if this name could have been used to start a new life somewhere, or if it was more about avoiding someone or something. It makes me think about what circumstances might lead someone to use an alias. Did she have previous issues that would make going by another name necessary? Or maybe it's somehow connected to the foul play authorities suspect... It just seems like this little detail could be key, but there’s practically zero info about why or when she used this other name. Has anyone come across aliases like this in other cases, and if so, did they end up being relevant? Would love to hear your thoughts.

I was digging into Mirian Elizabeth Mancia’s case again and something's been bugging me. Does anyone else find it odd that there seemed to be no significant leads from the area around Goodman Avenue and Ventura Boulevard where she was last seen? It’s such a busy area, especially back in the late '80s. People would have been out and about. I can’t help but wonder if someone might have seen something that seemed insignificant at the time but could actually be a piece of the puzzle. It’s also strange how nobody's come forward with a clear sighting or info on her alias, Mirian Elizabeth Barahona. Maybe someone remembers encountering her under that name. I guess I’m just curious if there’s any new light that can be shed or if anyone else finds these aspects as frustrating as I do. Thoughts?

Hey everyone, I stumbled upon the case of Mirian Elizabeth Mancia recently, and something's been on my mind. I noticed that she may have used an alias, Mirian Elizabeth Barahona. I can't help but wonder if the alias could have been related to personal reasons, potentially adding complexity to her social connections at the time. Los Angeles was a melting pot, even back in the late 80s, and people from different backgrounds sometimes used aliases for a variety of reasons. Maybe a new lead could come from someone recognizing her by the alias instead of her birth name? It's frustrating that despite her case being labeled as endangered and the suspicion of foul play, there's still such little info about what might have happened to her. Could this alias have been something she'd been using widely, or was it known only to a select few? Anyone have thoughts on how this might have affected the investigation back then or ideas on where the investigation could go from here?
