I've been reflecting a lot on the role the community played in helping bring justice for LaTroy Sontrell Lewis. It’s truly something to see how neighbors and locals came together, ensuring there was enough evidence to secure an arrest. In times like these, that unity is such a beacon of hope amidst all the sadness. It's clear that people took this tragedy personally and wanted to do right by LaTroy and his family.
I can only imagine how comforting it must have been for LaTroy’s family to see this outpouring of support. Their lives were forever changed, but knowing that the community stood up and said, "This isn't okay" must mean a lot. It’s often these small acts of solidarity that make all the difference. To everyone who played a part, thank you for being a light in such a dark moment.

I can't stop thinking about the impact this must have had on LaTroy's younger brother.
