I came across the tragic case of CoCo Chanel Wortham today, and it deeply shook me. Miss CoCo, as she was affectionately known, was someone with an amazing talent—you don't often hear 'master cosmetologist' and think of someone who likely touched countless lives with her skills and kindness. My heart goes out to her friends and family, who lost such a wonderful person in such a senseless act of violence. One detail that’s troubling is the silver sedan seen fleeing the scene. It’s difficult to comprehend how such a critical piece of evidence hasn't led to any arrests yet. I hope with the police releasing those images, someone out there might recognize the vehicle and come forward. It's crucial to keep spreading the word about Miss CoCo’s case until answers are found. This case is a painful reminder of the violence faced by transgender individuals, particularly Black trans women. CoCo's life and the dignity she showed despite her circumstances should inspire us to push for significant change. For anyone who has any information or has met CoCo, please consider reaching out to law enforcement. We need to continue supporting the pursuit of justice not just for CoCo but for all trans individuals who face discrimination and violence every day.
