Hey everyone, Something that's been on my mind about Cortez J. Rossell’s case — does anyone know if there have been any community efforts in Hamilton Heights to address the gun violence that's been so prevalent there? I’ve read about a few neighborhood initiatives in other parts of St. Louis that have seen some success, but it's always a challenge when the community is dealing with fear and distrust of law enforcement. I can’t imagine the frustration and pain Cortez’s family must be feeling, not having closure all these years. It seems that some kind of neighborhood outreach or local advocacy could be vital in breaking the cycle of violence. Has anyone here participated in or heard about any community discussions or interventions in that area since 2015? Would love to hear from locals or anyone with similar experience on what might actually make a difference in such a tough situation. Let’s keep hoping for justice for Cortez and for the safety of all those living in neighborhoods affected by violence.
