Does anyone have more information about the witnesses in Dawn Sanchez's case? I've read that there was a key witness who refused to testify back in the 90s, but I can't find much about who they were or why they wouldn't come forward. It's so tough when critical information is withheld, and it makes me wonder if fear or threats played a part in their silence. Amazing how a single person's testimony could potentially change the direction of an entire case. Has there ever been a formal statement or interview with this witness, or have any details emerged after the case was reopened? Has anyone else noticed discrepancies in the timeline around Dawn's disappearance? She was last seen on August 30, but her disappearance wasn't reported until October. That's over a month without anyone officially noticing she was gone. What could have caused such a delay? Was it simply because of her transient lifestyle, or might there have been fear or reluctance among those close to her to come forward sooner? Also, how did Bass manage to stay under the radar for so long before being charged again in 2007? The whole sequence of events raises questions about that gap and the initial investigation's thoroughness. It's tragic that after all this time, her body still hasn't been found.
