Does anyone else find it puzzling that Jody Fern Howard wasn't reported missing until more than a month after she was last seen? I've been following her case, and it seems like her close-knit family would have noticed sooner. Her aunt mentioned they were in regular contact, so why the delay? Could it have been due to jurisdictional issues on the reservation, or maybe a lack of awareness about the seriousness of her absence initially? It just strikes me as odd given how unusual it was for her to be out of touch. Maybe someone here with more information about the procedures on reservations back in the '90s could shed some light on this. Every bit of insight could help in keeping discussions like this alive and possibly unearthing something useful.
