It's always puzzled me how Jonathan Whitesides got parole in 2008 after being convicted of Eric Humbert's murder, especially since Eric's body was never found. It's unsettling that someone involved in a case with such brutal forensic evidence got released after serving not even half of their sentence. Does anyone know if there were any special circumstances or legal loopholes that might have influenced his early release? It's baffling and quite alarming considering the nature of Eric's disappearance and the lack of closure for his family. Thoughts?
