I was just thinking about how the community has come together after the devastating loss of Roscoe "Pookie" Willard Carter. The fact that 81 candles have been lit in his memory is really telling of the impact he had on those around him. It’s clear that Mr. Carter meant a lot to his friends, family, and neighbors. It’s so hard to process when something so violent and senseless happens, especially when it involves someone who was loved by so many.
