Has anyone else looked into the history of the Green Duck Lounge and Grill? James Townsend put so much effort into preserving that place, and it seems to be such an important piece of local history. I’ve read that he fought really hard against foreclosure and managed to keep it as a community hub, which makes the whole situation even more tragic. It’s just heartbreaking to think his life ended so brutally in the very place he loved so much.
You have to wonder if there’s something about the lounge itself that might provide some clues.
