I've been following the tragic case of Steven Montalvo, and it's just so incredibly upsetting to see such a young life lost so suddenly. One thing I've been thinking about is the role of gun safety education. It's so crucial, especially for teens who might not fully grasp the risks involved with firearms. Knowing that Steven was with friends, I wonder if they had any idea about the seriousness of handling a gun, even if they believed it to be unloaded. It's haunting to think how a moment of negligence can lead to such dire consequences. Just saw some news about the Steven Montalvo case and my heart goes out to his family and friends. I keep thinking about the owner of the house where it all happened. It must be incredibly hard for them to come to terms with something so devastating occurring under their roof, even though it was an accident. Even more, friends accidentally playing with a gun without knowing its state says a ton about gun safety awareness, especially in homes young people frequent.
