Does anyone else find it odd that Carol's husband didn't report her missing sooner? I understand that people might have complicated relationships, and sometimes assumptions are made, but five weeks is a long time. Especially since Carol was so close with her sisters and kids. If she had such strong ties to her family and community, you’d think someone would've sounded the alarm much sooner. Also, she just left after a fight and never touched her bank accounts again? Something feels off about the whole situation. Maybe she did leave voluntarily and something happened afterward, or maybe she never left like he claims. The green car is such a peculiar detail too—was it ever tracked down or identified? It almost seems like a clue, but without more info, it leads nowhere. It’s like she vanished into thin air, and yet no significant leads have turned up over the years. Wondering if there's more beneath the surface that hasn't been uncovered or shared by the authorities. Thoughts?
Hey everyone,
I've been diving deep into Carol Ann Smith's case, and something that really bugs me is the five-week delay in reporting her missing. I understand stress and denial can play a role, but it seems odd that David didn't file a missing person report himself, especially since they had kids together. Given that they argued about an alleged affair, it feels like there might be more beneath the surface. What do you all think could drive someone to wait that long to report a spouse missing? Could there be a justifiable reason, or does this hint at more sinister implications? Just trying to wrap my head around this unusual aspect. Would love to hear any theories or similar cases where a delayed report turned out to be crucial.
Thanks.
Hey everyone,
I've been diving deep into Carol Ann Smith's case lately and noticed something peculiar that I wanted to discuss. Did anyone else find it odd that a green American-made car was involved? It seems very specific, and yet, I've never seen any follow-ups on whether they even tried to identify this vehicle. Like, did no one around the neighborhood see this car arrive or leave? Also, the fact that she supposedly took several hundred dollars in cash is suspicious. It almost feels staged, like it's meant to imply she planned to leave for good, but there's just no evidence suggesting she did. If she had strong ties to her kids, it seems unlikely she'd just vanish on her own accord. I'm wondering if there were any sightings or tips about a car like this from the time, or if that lead just went cold. Would love to hear your thoughts on this angle!
