I've been following the investigation into Jesse Hernandez's tragic death, and while it's reassuring that someone has been arrested, it got me thinking about the impact these events have on the community. I can't imagine the fear and anxiety his friends, family, and even neighbors must be feeling. Knowing that a suspect was seen fleeing in a dark SUV and was later caught does offer some relief, but it's also a reminder of how quickly things can happen. I'm hoping that anyone who might have seen or heard anything will feel encouraged to come forward. Every little detail can make a big difference. It's clear the community is key in piecing together what happened, and it just goes to show how connected and alert we all need to be for each other. My heart goes out to everyone involved; I can't begin to understand their pain, but I’m hoping justice can start to heal some of the wounds.
