I can’t stop thinking about how tragic and random violence can be. I didn’t know Rick Elias Cook personally, but hearing how he was remembered by his friends and family really hits home for me. It's evident he left a mark through his kindness and generosity. I can only imagine the pain his loved ones are experiencing right now. It’s so frustrating that there's been no progress in finding his killer. I hope the police are able to make headway soon. No family should have to endure this kind of loss without answers. In the meantime, it's wonderful to see the community come together through the GoFundMe to support Rick’s family. It's small gestures like this that remind me there’s still good out there, even in the darkest times. Hoping justice arrives swiftly for Rick and that his family finds some form of peace eventually.
