Anyone else thinking about the impact this senseless tragedy has had on the community? I can't stop wondering how Joseph Syas's family is managing to cope with the loss. It's beyond tragic to imagine losing a loved one so suddenly and in such a violent manner. It also raises so many questions about what could push someone as young as Kevin Sheffield to commit such an act without any apparent motive. How do we prevent these kinds of random acts of violence in the future? My thoughts are with the Syas family, and I truly hope they find some solace in the fact that justice, at least legally, has been served. Anyone have any thoughts on how communities can come together in the aftermath of such events to heal and prevent future tragedies?
