I keep circling back to the fact that James Francis Donaghy's car was a white 1985 Volkswagen. This is such a distinct vehicle, and yet it seems like no one remembers seeing it along the potential route he was taking. I know it was a long drive, but a car like that would stand out, especially if he was planning to sleep in it. Has anyone checked if there are records of toll payments or sightings of a similar car from back then? Meanwhile, the Trans-Canada Highway and areas in BC he might have passed through are pretty vast and lonely stretches. I can’t help but wonder if more attention needed to be focused on those roads early in the investigation. Any thoughts on where his VW might have ended up?
