Just thinking about Maite and her love for marine biology gives me chills. I can't stop picturing how passionate she must have been about the ocean and animals at just 10 years old. It's devastating that we'll never get to see what incredible things she might have achieved in that field. I can't help but think about how many dreams were left unfulfilled that day. Maite, and all the victims, deserved their bright futures. It really hits home how much we're all missing out when such promising young lives are cut short. My heart goes out to Maite's family and those who knew her. Her dreams remind us all of what was stolen and reinforces why we need to act.
