It's so incredibly tough to process what happened in Uvalde, especially when thinking about Alithia Ramirez and her family. Her dream of attending art school in Paris stuck with me—such a hopeful aspiration for such a gifted young artist. I recently saw online that President Biden is planning to display one of her drawings in the White House. It's a beautiful way to honor her creativity and spirit, but it's also a reminder of the immense loss. I can't even imagine the heartbreak her family is going through. I hope the ongoing investigations bring some clarity and accountability to what happened that day. It's crucial that those responsible for ensuring the safety of our children do their jobs effectively. Alithia and the other victims deserve justice, and their memories deserve to be cherished and respected. Sending all my love and thoughts to Alithia's family and the people of Uvalde. We need to stand together to ensure our schools remain safe havens for our children.
