Terrell L. Brown was 26 when he was found shot inside a silver car near 24th Street and Denver Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. Officers discovered his body on the afternoon of September 13, 2016; his death was ruled a homicide. Witnesses said the car had been moving erratically before it crashed, and investigators believed the shooting may have occurred at a different location before the vehicle stopped.
For more than a year the case remained unsolved, until prosecutors in November 2017 charged 27-year-old Malcolm D. Johnson with second-degree murder and armed criminal action in connection with Brown’s death. Motive and many circumstances around the shooting have not been widely publicized.
If anyone knew Terrell, saw a silver car behaving erratically that day, or has information about what led to the shooting, please share what is known.
