It's truly tragic to think about the vulnerable position law enforcement officers like Deputy Webb were in when dealing with mental health issues, especially over a century ago. Handling situations involving individuals with severe mental health problems without the resources and understanding we have today must have been incredibly daunting. It's heartbreaking that Deputy Webb lost his life in such a dangerous and unpredictable scenario. I can’t help but wonder about the aftermath for his partner, both physically and emotionally. Being injured and losing a colleague in such a manner must have had long-lasting effects. My thoughts are with all those who continue to be affected by this case.
